You’ve decided that it’s time to take a trip to Rossland/Red Mountain and join us for all the reasons that you’ve heard about! But, where the heck is Rossland and how do you get here? If you are coming from afar, you’ll find out where you can fly into an airport near here but once you get there, what are your options for the last leg of your journey? Bear with us while we share the latest ways of transportation to Rossland/Red Mountain. Please note that Rossland and Red Mountain are only a five minute drive apart. Fly into Spokane – GEG
It is approximately a 2.5 hour drive to Rossland/Red Resort and you’ll be crossing the USA/Canada border. You’ll find that U.S. 395 highway is all lower elevation, an all weather road so that winter driving is excellent. From the Canadian border to Rossland/Red Mountain, the highway climbs in elevation but is well kept for winter traffic, just make sure that your vehicle has good winter tires. Make sure that you have your passport and any other documentation that you might need updated and ready to produce. Crossing the border into Canada is usually an uneventful procedure, for more information see here. There are a number of transfer options available to get you to Rossland/Red Mountain.
Rent a Vehicle
You can rent a vehicle to suit the size of your party at Spokane Airport. You’ll find that all the major car rental agencies have service desks in the Ground Transportation Center, next to the A/B Concourse Baggage Claim Area at the north end of the terminal building. Please be advised to book your vehicle on line, well in advance of your arrival with your rental agency of choice.

Fly into Kelowna – YLW
It’s a 4 hour drive to Rossland/Red Resort with three mountain passes to traverse. Driving in winter conditions, you will usually find good driving conditions however this can change during periods of heavy snow. With inclement weather, timing is everything. If driving yourself, make sure that your vehicle is equipped with good snow tires. Here are some travel options from Kelowna to Rossland/Red Mountain.
